Punctul Nordic – Corbeanca

Punctul Nordic – Corbeanca is a grassroots initiative that supports the poorest members of the community in Corbeanca, near Bucharest. The aim of the project is to keep the young people of the community in education and thus enable them to escape poverty. The association provides basic needs support (food, clothing) as well as educational and social assistance.

The Punctul Nordic C.A.S. group organises events such as:

• Back to School – school supplies fundraiser
• Shoebox Appeal
• Organise other fund-raising events

The project is suitable for students who:

• Are willing to work against racial and class-related prejudice
• Are willing to take responsibility for managing large scale fund-raising events (reception, sorting, correspondence with donors)
