I joined the school as part of Year 8 in 2007 when I moved to Bucharest from my hometown in Cyprus. Although that now seems like a very long time ago, I still have memories of a great learning environment surrounded by inspiring teachers and amazing friends. One of the things I’m grateful for was how international the school was, leaving me with friends for life, now spread all over the world. That probably triggered my love for travel and desire to experience different cultures.
I studied Art, Mathematics and Psychology for my A’ levels, leading me to complete a foundation degree in Art & Design at the University for the Creative Arts in Epsom, UK. I then went on to study a BA(Hons) degree in Graphic & Media Design at the University of the Arts in London.
What I did at University
Studying in London was an adventure – one that probably isn’t for everyone – but one that I loved. I met people from all over the world, in one of the best Art universities and a city that never sleeps. London can mesmerise you and although miles away from Bucharest, both in distance and in lifestyle, it can end up feeling like home. That’s how I’ve managed to still be here, 10 years on.
I’m now a Senior Art Director at other creative and can’t see myself leaving London any time soon.
